A representative will collect you from your Cairo hotel for the flight to Luxor, where your Egyptologist guide awaits. Begin with the Valley of the Kings, including a stop at the visitor center and a chance to enter the rock-cut chambers and tunnels. Though guides cannot join you inside the tombs, your guide will brief you beforehand. Optionally, visit King Tutankhamun's tomb for an extra fee. Next, visit the well-preserved Hatshepsut Temple, followed by the Colossi of Memnon, remnants of Amenhotep III's mortuary temple. Enjoy lunch on an island, incorporating a Nile River boat trip, before visiting the grand Karnak Temples, the largest religious building ever constructed.
