The Malouka Dahabiya Cruises, launched in 2008, offer an exclusive and luxurious way to explore the Nile between Esna and Aswan. Designed for travelers who seek a blend of adventure and relaxation while delving into Egypt's ancient wonders, Malouka provides an intimate cruising experience. Prior to the launch of our newest and largest dahabiya, Meroe, in 2017, Malouka was our flagship, accommodating up to 20 guests in 10 spacious rooms, ensuring ample space for guests desiring the freedom of a larger accommodation on the Nile.

Facilities

The Malouka boat is equipped with Panoramic Suites and 8 Luxury Rooms, all featuring large, panoramic windows that offer stunning views of the Nile's ever-changing landscape. Onboard facilities cater to the needs and comforts of all guests, including dining areas, bars, and a reading lounge for leisurely relaxation. Comprehensive safety measures such as a sprinkling system, anti-fire treatment, and full fire safety precautions are in place. A doctor is available on call, ensuring peace of mind throughout the journey. Additional amenities include air conditioning, private bathrooms with hair dryers, and an accompanying motorboat to ensure smooth sailing under any wind conditions. The sun deck provides a serene setting for relaxation and soaking in the picturesque views of the Nile.

Itinerary

Day 1: Monday : Esna

Arrival and assistance at Luxor airport/train station, followed by a guided tour of Esna, including the ancient Temple of Khnum. Overnight stay onboard in Esna. (Meals: Lunch, Dinner)

Day 2: Tuesday : El Kab & Edfu

Sail to El Kab, visiting the temple of Nekhbet and decorated tombs. Continue to Edfu for a visit to the temple of Horus, followed by sailing to a scenic island. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3: Wednesday : Sail & Swim

A day dedicated to enjoying the Nile, with optional morning walks, swimming, and exploring an island. Evening mooring at the temple of Gebel Silsileh. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4: Thursday : Gebel Silsileh

Visit the temple of Horemheb and the ancient quarries. Enjoy tea and shisha at a local café, followed by lunch and swimming on a riverbank. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5: Friday : Kom Ombo

Morning visit to Kom Ombo temple, dedicated to Sobek, and the Crocodile Museum. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6: Saturday : Aswan

Breakfast onboard before transferring to Aswan airport/train station for departure. (Meals: Breakfast)
